The next SAFL Meeting has been scheduled for the South Hadley Fire Station on Thursday, February 9th, at 6:30pm. 1st Vice Commissioner Kirk Parker is scheduled to run the meeting.
Current agenda items include:
- Discussion on a desire to move the SAFL from being a private entity to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. - An open invitation to discuss any/all issues within the SAFL, and participate in shaping our future. - An invitation to join SAFL Committees for the coming year, including: a new Rules Committee and a League Alignment / Scheduling Committee.
We know that several towns expressed interest in presenting rule changes for consideration and a future vote. In the interest of scheduling, if you would like time for consideration of a rule change, or to bring any item to the group, please email me at guy.savoie@suburbanfootball.com with a brief subject line of what you would like to present.
Reminder We currently have openings on the Board for the positions of Treasurer and Vice Commissioner of Players. Don Brodeur, our current and elected Recording Secretary, has expressed an interest in moving to fill the Vice Commissioner of Players position. If that is uncontested, we would then have an opening for Treasurer and Recording Secretary. If you are interested in either position, or know someone that might be, please inquire to guy.savoie@suburbanfootball.com
Thanks!

As the Commissioner Elect for 2012, I would like to extend the most sincere thanks to Mark Du Bois, Esther Bond-Williams, and Marty Tremblay for their years of service in the Suburban Amateur Football League.
As Commissioner, Mark was responsible for many positive initiatives, including the Commissioner's Jamboree, developing a productive relationship with USA Football, and overseeing the first year of SAFL playoffs.
As Treasurer and a valued member of the SAFL Board, Esther provided sound guidance, diligence, and a wisdom that we will be hard pressed to replace.
As the Vice Commissioner of Player Registration, Marty consistently and successfully managed the huge volume of player registration records, and was always available to address parent needs and concerns.
Please join me in wishing all three the very best in their future endeavors.
